VAPIANO SIGNS FIRST LOCATION IN FLORIDA
Fort Meyers, Florida, January 8, 2008 - Vapiano, named the “Future of Fresh Casual”
by Foodservice Europe recently signed its first lease in Fort Meyers, Florida. Franchisee
Konrad Woest and his family will open their first of multiple restaurants in the 1,651,000
square foot Gulf Coast Town Center located at 9903 Gulf Coast Main Street. Additional
concepts found throughout the Center include P.F. Changs China Bistro, Outback
Steakhouse, Blue Sushi and Bar Louie.
“The Gulf Coast Center is the perfect place for our first location and we have the best
spot in the entire center,” says Woest. “Vapiano is a very unique and exciting concept
and I know will be well received here in Fort Meyers.”
The Fort Meyers location is expected to open in June of 2008. Mr. Woest and his family
plan additional locations throughout Southwest Florida, including Tampa, Naples and
Sarasota.
Vapiano has grown from a single unit to 30 locations open in only three years. Many of
their restaurants can be found throughout Germany, in key European markets such as
Zurich, Vienna, Istanbul, Budapest and now the United States. Vapiano has already
opened three corporately owned restaurants in the greater Washington, D.C. area and
plans to open three additional corporately owned restaurants in the same area over the
next few years to serve as the launching pad for an aggressive U.S. expansion.
In addition to D.C., Vapiano has franchised units in development across the United States
in cities such as Dallas and Boston and continues to target key markets such as Las
Vegas, Miami, Chicago and New York for corporate expansion.
