Alpha Group Expanding with VAPIANO
Starting in mid-September the Alpha Group will be making deliveries to VAPIANO in addition to McDonald’s, BP, Rimi and other familiar names. The "one-stop-shopping" concept offered by "The European Lead Logistics Provider" has already been employed successfully in the Food Service Industry. By hooking up with Alpha, VAPIANO has taken an important step to ensure that its goods logistics will be simpler and more sophisticated in the future.
WLS, a German subsidiary of the Alpha Group, will be responsible for making deliveries to all the VAPIANO restaurants in Germany. One of 39 companies in the European corporate group, WLS has been smoothly implementing goods distribution based on the "onestop- shopping" concept for more than 25 years.
Under the contract which Alpha Group signed with VAPIANO on August 16, its German Distribution Company will be responsible for the procurement, warehousing and distribution of goods in all temperature ranges for the fast growing franchise chain.
VAPIANO was quick to decide in favor of the Alpha Group. "It is very important for VAPIANO, a company expanding rapidly worldwide, to know that we can rely on the services of a system supplier with an international orientation," explained VAPIANO CEO Mirko Silz. "The know-how and expertise of the Alpha Group, in combination with its decidedly European outlook as the European Lead Logistics Provider, were key factors in our decision to do business with them." The Mediterranean restaurant chain with the "Fresh Casual" concept can now live the VAPIANO motto – "Take the time to enjoy, and you will live healthier and longer" – to the fullest. Thanks to the support of the Alpha Group, which provides the entire spectrum of logistics services from one source, the restaurant staff can now take the time to concentrate on their core competencies.
Over the medium term VAPIANO also plans to turn the logistics for its international restaurant operation over to the Alpha Group.
